At the end of November the Regional Engineering, Architecture and Agronomy Council (Crea) from the Brazilian state of Goiás has awarded five projects focused on the region’s sustainable development.
Curtume Coming was one of the awarded companies. The tannery won in the Technological Innovation category, with its project Sustainability in the Management of WTP Sludge in the Tanning Industry.
Written by David Fernandes (Biologist) and Cleide Pereira Gomes (Integrated Management System Supervisor), the project was considered innovative “because it pays a significant contribution for sustainability on the tannery’s industrial plant, it ensures environmental safety and benefits the local community”.
