Exports of hides and skins submitted by SECEX (Foreign Trade Secretariat), for the month of April 2014, registered a new record of US$ 255.794 million, which means an increase of 17.1% compared to the same month last year, when US$ 218.438 million were exported. Compared to March 2014 also grew by 1.3%, while total exports was US$ 252.556. Regarding the quantity of hides, considering only the cowhides, in April were shipped 2.966 million units, a decrease of 1.7% compared to April 2013, when the total was 3.017 million.
