Exports of hides and skins submitted by SECEX (Foreign Trade Secretariat), for the month of February 2014, registered a record US$ 250.081 million, representing growth of 32.4% over the same month last year, when US$ 188.855 million were exported. Compared to January 2014 there was also an increase of 23.8%, while total exports was US$ 201.955.

Regarding the quantity of hides, considering only cattle, in February were shipped 3.136 million units, an increase of 14% compared to February 2013, when total was 2.752 million.
