Exports of hides and skins presented by SECEX (Foreign Trade Secretariat), for the month of January 2015, registered the amount of US$ 183.245 million, which means a decrease of 9.3% compared to the same month of the past year, when exports totaled US$ 201.955 million. Comparing to December 2014, January also fell by 28.2%, when total exports was US$ 255.068 million.

As for the amount of hides, considering only the cattle hides, in January were shipped 2.227 million pieces, down 24% compared to December, when total was 2.928 million.
