Exports of hides and skins submitted by SECEX (Foreign Trade Secretariat), for the month of March 2014, registered a record US$ 252.555 million, representing growth of 31.9% over the same month last year, when US$ 191.490 million were exported. Compared to February 2014 also grew by 1.0%, while total exports was US$ 250.080. Regarding the quantity of hides, considering only the cowhides, in March were shipped 3.226 million units, an increase of 14.3% compared to March 2013, when total was 2.822 million.
