The Winter 16/17 edition of Lineapelle takes place between September 09th and 11th in Milan, Italy. It is one of the world’s most celebrated events regarding leather fashion and accessories. This year, three Brazilian tanneries are taking their products to the exhibition: Best Brasil (OCM); JBS Couros, and Nova KaeruExoticLeathers. Their presence in the event has the support of Brazilian Leather, project coordinated by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) in partnership with Apex-Brasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

According to José Fernando Bello, executive president of CICB, to be present at Lineapelle means to be part of a select group of exhibitors. “The Italian exhibition tends to gather high standard suppliers, the most innovative and design oriented people from all over Europe. Therefore, when we participate of such an event we show how competitive we can truly be, we show all our potential”, he says. “The idea is to not only generate business, but to consolidate our image internationally, since the entire leather world has its eyes turned to the event”, adds Bello.

WLC - On September 08th, right before Lineapelle’s official opening, Brazil will take part in the 2nd World Leather Congress (WLC), which is also hosted in Milan. Focused on gathering entrepreneurs from the leather sector, it is also recognized as one of the most emblematic events in the segment. CICB, in fact, is sponsoring the WLC. In 2011, in its first edition, the Brazilian entity was responsible for promoting the event, which took place in Rio de Janeiro.
