The Italian city of Milan will soon host three days of intensive activities for the leather and fashion industries and its related technologies. That’s due to Lineapelle and Simac Tanning Tech, which take place between February 21st and 23rd with the participation of four Brazilian companies. Brazil takes part in the events thanks to support from Brazilian Leather, project dedicated to promote leather exports and coordinated by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).
At Lineapelle, the four Brazilian tanneries will have its very own stands, while in Simac Tanning Tech the Brazilian Leather project and Preview do Couro (Leather Preview) will hold an exclusive space dedicated to strengthen business relations and promote local industry at a global level.
The Brazilian participation at Lineapelle, this time focused on material for Summer 2018 collections, is expected to generate US$5 million in business during the first semester of the year. The event combines fashion knowledge – with special spaces dedicated to trends and lectures on market behavior – and business. Next to Lineapelle, Simac Tanning Tech (focused on technology for the leather and footwear industries) has been growing in size and relevance – its 2017 edition is 20% larger in comparison to the previous one) –, therefore welcoming an audience with a high decision making power. “Our participation will be multiplied with the spaces on both events; tanneries at Lineapelle and Brazilian Leather at Simac Tanning Tech should generate an excellent synergy between business relations and image for the country”, says executive president at CICB, José Fernando Bello.
Preview do Couro (Leather Preview) will take to Simac Tanning Tech more than 15 articles produced by a series of companies from all over Brazil. This collection of hides – recently presented first-hand during celebrated Brazilian trend event Inspiramais – has generated quite a fuzz across the exhibitions it’s travelled to, generating new and prolific contacts for Brazilian tanneries.
