Over the past three months the Brazilian Leather Certification of Sustainability (CSCB) has been invited to speak at four major international events: in Dresden (Germany), New York, Rio de Janeiro and Paris, always spreading its positive examples and the advances in sustainability made by Brazil's leather industry. Milan will soon host yet another CSCB presentation at one of Lineapelle's activities: Workshop “Sustainability Partnerships In The Leather Industry:  Focus On Raw Material”. It will take place October 2nd- the first day of the fair, which runs until October 4th- during the afternoon.

CSCB participation and that of five additional Brazilian tanneries in Lineapelle is supported by Brazilian Leather - an initiative of the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) to encourage participation of Brazil's leather in foreign markets.

The workshop is part of the "Social and Environmental Reporting 2020" project, supported by the European Commission's Social Dialogue Program. Speakers from around the world who have been a part of the leather value chain from livestock to finished product have been confirmed. The CSCB will share their experience with tanneries in Brazil, recent advances in this sector, and new projects that will further improve leather production in the field of sustainability. “With a qualified audience made up largely of Lineapelle visitors, the workshop will be important for showcasing our work and the results we've generated in terms of national leather sustainability,” explains Rafael Andrade, who will speak on behalf of the CSCB.

At the Lineapelle fair the Brazilian tanneries Bolzano, Courovale by BCM, Krumenauer, Nova Kaeru and Soubach Special Leathers will all have individual booths. They'll be presenting their developments for winter collections to an audience of over 100 nationalities who will be researching finished leathers with high added value and design, brilliant innovations, and quality attributes - the fair's main focus.
