Exports of Brazilian leather grow 5,1% in October

Brazilian exports of hides and skins have reached a total value of US$ 249 million in October, according to figures from the Department of Foreign Trade – Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC). Based on this information, the Department of Intelligence at the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) highlights an increase of 5,1% in comparison to the same month last year.

The accumulate value from January to October 2014 is of US$ 2,486 billion, resulting in a growth of 21% in comparison to the same period in 2013. Leather participation in Brazilian exports remains at 1,3%.
