The leather sector in Brazil has become an international example of partnerships and collaborations in design and sustainability, exchanging experiences with different acting parties and qualifying processes and products. This successful labor model will soon be shared with the public at the Première Vision Paris fair through the lecture "Design and Sustainability - An Overview on Brazilian Leather Industry Continuous Improvement Protocols". The lecture will be given at noon on September 20th by Rafael Andrade, the International Strategy, Design and Planning Consultant of the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB).
This activity is supported by the Brazilian leather project, an initiative of the CICB and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) to increase the share of Brazil's leathers in foreign markets.
The lecture will be part of the Smart Talks debate cycle in the Smart Square space, one of the most privileged environments of Première Vision for the presentation of trends and innovations in fashion materials, processes and services. Rafael Andrade will demonstrate prior experience in projects such as Design na Pele, the Brazilian Leather Certification of Sustainability (CSCB, which has mutual recognition with the Italian Institute of Quality Certification for the Leather Sector) and future actions. "We believe that collaborative actions are extremely beneficial and essential in today's world- one which is continuously reinventing itself- so that we can generate a positive impact in all spheres of action: both from within the tanneries to the world abroad and the world abroad to Brazil," he emphasizes.
Première Vision Paris takes place from September 19th to the 21st, bringing together more than 1,900 exhibitors and dedicating itself exclusively to the supply of materials and services for the fashion sector in the luxury segment. In this edition, three Brazilian tanneries will be present: Best Brasil, Curtume Rusan and Nova Kaeru.
