In Paris, Brazilian leather joins exhibition dedicated to high fashion

The conception of the majority of luxury and fashion articles made in leather has a common starting point: the city of Paris, where Première Vision Leather presents all major trends and materials that will guide future collections dedicated to the premium market. Première Vision’s next edition takes place between February 7th and 9th, having four Brazilian companies among its exhibitors. Brazil takes part in the event thanks to support from Brazilian Leather, project dedicated to promote leather exports and coordinated by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). Première Vision Leather is expected to generate US$ 1 million in business for Brazilian industries.

This edition of Première Vision Leather is recognized for presenting the colors and patterns that will dictate Summer collections in the Northern Hemisphere. The entire fashion picture that’s about to come is anticipated in the event across its stands and trend spaces, lectures and awards, making it an icon for all major brands, designers and executives. “The public at Première Vision is highly qualified and loyal. It’s a high-standard event for all those who live and create fashion”, highlights Letícia Luft, Brazilian Leather’s project manager.

Camila Koefender, director at Curtume Rusan, also understands that Première Vision Leather is a unique event. It’s the third time in a row that she joins the exhibition taking with her a collection of chamois leather, a company speciality. “We have a huge expectation! We’re hoping to meet again clients that have already visited us before, as we know that the consolidation of a new client overseas takes longer than in the domestic market”, says Camila. She highlights that in such an event as Première Vision Leather it’s very important to establish quality contacts and not evaluate the company’s participation just by the number of visitors you receive on your stand.

Besides the companies’ participation, Brazil also takes part in Première Vision Leather with a special Brazilian Leather project stand, where Preview do Couro (Leather Preview) is being presented to the public. The exhibition brings a collection of hides that anticipate future trends and are the result of a carefully developed project involving a series of Brazilian tanneries – an initiative that maximizes Brazilian participation in the event.
