A concentrated core of contacts, businesses, and opportunities for the leather sector will soon take shape in Brazil at the 42nd International Fair of Leather, Chemical Products, Components, Machines, and Equipment for Shoes and Tanneries (Fimec) at Fenac in Novo Hamburgo, RS. Fimec runs from March 6th to the 8th, with a series of activities organized and supported by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) and the Brazilian Leather Project, an initiative of the CICB and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brazil) to encourage leather exports.

The CICB will organize Fimec's programming, which will include business roundtables, the reception of foreign importers, technical visits, learning opportunities, and CICB's very own stand at the fair, amongst other activities. "CICB's participation in Fimec 2018 will be highly intense, focusing on commercial promotion for Brazil's industries. This is a fair with a broad scope, where it's possible to find new business and reinforce contacts with pre-established customers and suppliers", emphasizes José Fernando Bello, CICB's executive president.
