The year2016 begins with positive business perspectives for the Brazilian leather and skins sector. Already on January 19th and 20th, five Brazilian companies take part in one of the most prestigious fashion trade fairs in the US: Première Vision New York. The expectation is that the event generates around US$2 million in business, according to executive president of CICB (the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry) José Fernando Bello.

BCM Indústria e Comércio de Couros Ltda (Courovale); Cortume Krumenauer S/A; Fazer Leather Company Ltda; Nova Kaeru Indústria e Comércio de Couro Ltda and Soubach Beneficiamento em Couros Ltda are the companies that comprise the select group of Brazilian tanneries to showcase their articles in the North-american event. Their presence at Première Vision New York has the support from Brazilian Leather, project focused on the sector’s international promotion and coordinated by CICB in partnership with Apex-Brasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

Première Vision New York tends to attract the US’ most celebrated designers, besides gathering internationally recognized exhibitors and promoting special lectures with renowned personalities within the fashion world.
