The global market turbulence hasn’t stopped All China Leather Exhibition(ACLE), one of the world’s most relevant leather exhibitions, from registering more than 20 thousand visitors during its three days. This year’s event, which took place between August 31st and September 02nd in Shanghai, gathered over 1.200 exhibitors – of which 23 were Brazilian. Companies participated in the event with the support of Brazilian Leather, project focused on the sector’s international promotion and coordinated by CICB (the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry) in partnership with Apex-Brasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
Despite many buyers following a more cautious stance – which should prevail for a while –, the group of Brazilian companies left this year’s exhibition registering a highly positive number of contacts. According to executive president of CICB, José Fernando Bello, ACLE gave companies a great opportunity to closing business deals and prospecting new clients. “During the event, we generated around US$ 37 million of orders and have another US$ 150 million to be confirmed", he says.
INSPIRAMAIS - During ACLE 2015, CICB joined Assintecal (the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Manufactured Goods)for the international launch of Inspiramais – Components Design and Innovation Exhibition. Promoted by both CICB and Assintecal and already a consolidated event in Brazil, Inspiramais was presented to the world with the objective of inviting ACLE visitors for its next edition, which takes place in January 2016, in São Paulo. “Inspiramais and Preview do Couro (a show that anticipates leather trends) left visitors very please, and that is extremely positive for our positioning in the international sector”, says Bello.
