APLF, promoter of the largest world fairs in the leather sector, held a series of three digital commercial exhibitions in recent weeks focused in three different regions. Two of these events – Virtual APLF China and India – had the participation of Brazilian companies from the tanning sector, which made a great impact among buyers and exhibitors. This activity was supported by the Brazilian Leather project, an initiative of the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) to promote this national industry in the foreign market.

Curtume Natur exhibited its collection in the Chinese edition of the event. Company director Magali Grandi shared her experience: “We were positively surprised by the fair. The platform was well designed to make the connection between exhibitors and visitors as easy as possible. The support team that connected exhibitors with buyers was incredible, always looking for the best way to bring the parties together and, even in different time zones, it was possible to make good contacts. The fair was another event that showed us how we can improve and do things differently.”

With participation in both editions (China and India), Courovale shares the same positive opinion. According to the commercial manager of the company, Verônica Meurer: “It was a very interesting fair, even to have a new experience, since we had not participated in another online fair. It is always important because we learn a lot in situations like this. There was a great effort by the APLF to hold meetings between buyers and sellers, and with that, we were able to make new contacts, especially with customers we did not know yet.”
