According to SECEX (Foreign Trade Secretariat), exports of hides and skins showed record amounts for the second consecutive month, surpassing the value achieved in the same period last year and compared to April this year. May 2013 demonstrated a total amount of US$ 229.3 million, an increase of 16.8% compared to May 2012, which value was US$ 196.3 million, an increase of 5.0% compared to April 2013 that reached US$ 218.4 million.
